Appointments

If you would like to request an appointment, we would be happy to assist you. We are always accepting new patients, but we commonly schedule two weeks in advance for routine appointments. We do our best to maintain a waitlist so that we can move your appointment time forward if a spot opens up, so please let us know if you would like to be waitlisted when making your appointment. If you are having a medical issue or if you wish to schedule a contact lens fitting follow-up we will do our best to see you as soon as possible. If you wish to meet with an optician for frame adjustments, repairs, or any additional issues you do not need to schedule an appointment but are welcome to request a particular optician to assist you.

Routine exams usually last 30 minutes, and we generally recommend arriving ten minutes early to your appointment so you have time to fill out paperwork. Medical exams and follow up appointments generally last fifteen minutes, and if you set an appointment to have lenses cut for your frame it takes between forty-five minutes to an hour to have them ready for you.

We do occasionally take last minute medical emergencies so we thank you for your patience if we are running slightly behind schedule on the day of your appointment.

Dear Eye Trends Family,

 

Our team takes great pride in always maintaining the highest standards of infection control and cleanliness as to maintain a safe environment for our patients and their loved ones.

Because we are a healthcare facility, certain daily practices have always been in place to provide a sanitary environment. As a result of COVID-19, we have incorporated extensive new safety protocols to elevate the frequency and magnitude of our disinfectant processes to ensure safety of our team and patients.

 

To assist in these efforts, we are asking patients to:

  • Please reschedule your appointment and stay home if you are not feeling well or have exhibited known symptoms.

  • Please utilize our hand washing station or the hand sanitizer provided upon entering the office and prior to filling out any paperwork or proceeding to an exam room.

 

 Further, in an effort to follow the CDC's social distancing recommendations and Brazos Valley's Shelter in Place mandate, we will be offering to ship patient orders free of charge. We also ask that any patients who are not coming in for an appointment and are able to do so, to please postpone their visit to our office until these regulations are relaxed.
